Chiropractic adjustments involve gentle force to misaligned or otherwise dysfunctional spinal (and other) joints. The most common forms of dysfunction are restricted joint range of motion, abnormal posture and weight distribution, nerve root compression, scar tissue formation, and misaligned vertebrae. The goal of chiropractic is to remove these deficits in order to facilitate the natural healing process. This is comparable to the healing observed after a small cut. Picking or otherwise irritating the scab ultimately prolongs and attenuates the normal process. Left alone and uninhibited, this process occurs involuntarily and near flawlessly. The same is true for your internal structures. In this case the “scab” is untreated traumatic injury (new or old), chronic poor posture, repetitive wear and tear at work, bending and lifting, and so on. Since symptoms are always a product of dysfunction, reestablishment of normal function results in more efficient healing, thus subsequent amelioration of your symptoms.

Dr. Ella Kalantarov was born in the former USSR and grew up in New York City. She is fluent in Russian. She has large extended family, her father being the 9th of 10 children. She went on to achieve a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hunter College (New York, NY) before becoming the first in her family to venture out of state, heading for Atlanta, GA to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. She is proud to be the only chiropractor in her family lineage.

Dr. Kalantarov developed an appreciation for the chiropractic health paradigm while working as a chiropractic assistant for over six years in Queens, NY. During that journey, she became a witness to the healing capacity chiropractic provided to many who were otherwise experiencing hopelessness. She has a deep reverence for the healing capacity of the body when in the proper environment. This philosophy was originally fostered by her parents’ traditional approach to healing and bolstered by the science of chiropractic learned in school. She has additional training in the field of pediatric and pregnancy techniques which have allowed her to excel in her niche of caring for children and pregnant women. She is certified in the Webster and Activator techniques.

Drs. Schneider and Kalantarov are blessed with one intelligent, articulate son and a loving, curious daughter from which their life is infinitely enriched. Dr. Kalantarov spends much of her free time developing her lifelong affinity for acting by participating in amateur productions at the Palm Beach Institute for Entertaining Arts (formerly known as The Burt Reynolds Institute). She also enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, and exploring the many family-fun destinations throughout Florida.
